Andrew Grill, Kred CEO, Shares the Future of Social Influence at the Edelman Academic Summit

The 2012 Edelman Academic Summit is being held on the West Coast for the first time, and we are honored to be participating. Kred CEO Andrew Grill (@AndrewGrill) will speak on the panel at 11:45am PST on Thursday, June 21st titled “The New Influentials: Tracking & Measuring Online Influence” along with other prominent industry figures Brian Solis (@BrianSolis) and Edelman’s own Jonny Bentwood (@JonnyBentwood) and Michael Brito (@britopian).

The Summit convenes leaders from public relations, journalism, business and marketing in Palo Alto June 20-22 to learn from executives and thought leaders about topics related to the theme “When All Media Is Social: Navigating the Future of Communications.”  Participants will learn how to utilize social media to improve academics and foster innovation.

Kred is the only social media influence measure participating at the conference, so we are honored to have the opportunity to demonstrate the power of influence measurement to leaders in academia.  What social good could be created when more people are aware of their ability to influence others online?

If you would like to join in to learn about how social media will transform education, media and communications, follow along on Twitter with the hashtag #2012AcademicSummit. We’ll be tracking the people most involved in the conversations, so make sure to check out the Edelman Academic Summit Leaderboard.

The purpose of this summit is to demonstrate how social media can be used to improve academics. Have you used social media for educational purposes? Let us know how in the comments section.
